LIBRARY OF SOUND

Project Background:

The Library of Sound is a project centered around redesigning the traditional ‘library’ to keep pace with technology in order to become a new center for experiential learning.

This project implements dynamic sound chambers that adapt to reflect and reverberate sound in different ways. Visitors to the library are invited to enter inside of one of the many sound chambers within the building.

By dynamically changing the physical space of the sound chamber, a musician can choose to hear himself/herself play in a variety of spatial conditions. The Library of Sound is a place to both hear and be heard.
