Project Background:
The goal of this exercise was to develop an urban strategy that expedited the redevelopment of urban brownfield sites in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Our project focused on developing a method of adaptive reuse, utilizing the abandoned former Remington Arms factory for our test site.
By means of site analysis and design implementation, we developed a financially plausible approach to feasibly reclaim toxic sites, transforming them into income-producing, strategically remediated solar-parks.
By implementing our approach, we can transform a relic of the past into an icon of the future.
